EEA3, EEA4 application

Post by wisemen » Tue Sep 29, 2009 11:35 am

Hi,

I am a French citizen and I have been in the UK (working fulltime) since Jan, 04. I am here with my non-EU wife, son. First, we had a one year visa when we moved from France. And after that we were on 5-years family permit.
Now it runs out in Nov.
1. So, I will be applying using EEA3 for PR and my non-EU family will be using the EEA4 form. Am I right?
2. Liverpool or Croyden? Which is quicker? I think we sent our forms to Croyden in 04 for the 5 year permit and their reply was very prompt.
3. Also can I apply for both in-person. I am in Birmingham. UKBS informed me that croyden doesnt do EEA4 in person. Any other office in Midlands? And what r the fees?

EDIT - There is a public office in Solihull. But on UKBA website, on one page it says that EEA citizens cant apply in those 7 public offices, and on another it says that you can. I am confused.
Also, I thought for EEA nationals and their non-EEA family there was no fee to pay. We never did. But on website it says you do.

@Mods - This is one of the best forums on the net. I hope to be a regular. Keep up the good work.

1. Yes.
2. Liverpool. There is no choice.
3. For the EEA it used to be in Croyden, not possible for the non-EEA.

Have a look at http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/eucit ... ropeanlaw/

ty, sir
3. So, if croyden cant deal with non-EEA, can Solihull or other offices?

I have been browsing ukba site to no avail.

4. Also, do we have to pay any fees?
