Urgent problem! i need some advice

Post by wynnekins » Tue Nov 24, 2009 9:34 pm

Hi i need as much help and advise as i can get!!!

I came into the UK on a visiting visa in July 2001 and met and got married to a childhood friend. the following year.He is a British citizen. An application for Indefinite leave to remain was made in 2002.

I received a response in form of a deportation from the home office in September 2005. I won the appeal and was granted discretionary leave in March 2006. I went into full time education and now have a Masters degree in Social Work, i qualified in December 2008 and was registered as a qualified social worker in March 2009 which is when my leave expired. My daughter who is 22 also qualified as a social worker in september 2009.

I received a letter requesting documentary evidence from the home office yesterday.

My husband absconded from our matrimonial home 6 months ago leaving me with his 3 year old daughter and 3 older children from a previous relationship. My husband cotracted HIV 2 years into our marriage which put a strain into the relationship.I have since heard that he is in a relationship with another woman and may have divorced me. I am yet to hear from him or receive divorce papers.

I am confused as to what to do as i am afraid that the home office may deport me. I am unable to return to my country of origin as i have received threats from my former partner who has continuosly made threats about my decision to marry someone else and remain in the UK.I suffered years of domestic violence in that relationship and felt that i had been given a new lease of life when i met with my current husband.

All efforts to contact him have proved abortive. Also in the letter which i received yesterday i noticed it address to just me> i did not mention my childrens name? is this because they are being considered seperately or just an error?

any advice or opinions will be very helpful! thanx
