I don't think it is required. Never got it done even once for my parents' visits to UK.
A copy of council tax invoice is the only document related to property that I send to them (along with payslips, bank statements, utility bills and copy of my passport and visa).

regards

Not mandatory..But after seeing a lot of people being refused on accommodation issue I would advise must go for it..To my view it is 110% important for accommodation issue.

You can get it from your local property estate agent from £45 to £100 pounds..Very simple go to esatge agent,he would visit your house and do the rest for you..

I know some council do it for free..Contact your Council and ask for it..

You can not prepare yourself and if you did it would not be accepted.

Hope answer the question

thanks UK_Banned_Member. yeh u r right alot of refusals r on this basis.

I own the property so will I still need to show this letter, or Can I attach the map of house(with measurements) from Land registry along with ownership documents ?

I know this will not prove the property is not over crowded but just confirming.

thanks.

we didn't get the property inspection report from anyone as it was too expensive - our council charrge £150 for it. We made our own report with pictures of the rooms with measurements, also include the mortgage statements, land registry and all the other documents that is to do with the house.
If you bought the place recently and still have the detail paper work fromthe estate agent, include it - this should usually habe picture of the property, room measurements, etc.

Good luck.

What you did is not called Property Inspection report from an independent body...This is also good..

Take house pictures and on their back right exact measurements...I thought may be op know this basic thing...

For ownership of property you can visit Land registered and after paying $4 fee you can download you Tile Deeds and Title Property...I would recommend must add these with your application.

I got property Inspection report for £50 recently.

thanks for the advice.
I will check with my local state agent, if he takes 50 or 100 then will get the report from him.

I will take the pictures as well , nd will attach mortgage statement, Title of Deeds and recent Bills.

I hope these documents will be sufficient.

The local estage agent charged even more. Phoned up several agents.
Anyway, our report was accepted by the ECO.
I think it depends on where you are applying for the visa.
