Accomodation Requirements Proof

Post by nomykhan » Fri Dec 10, 2010 12:21 pm

Hi,

Me and wife are living outside UK for 2 years. My wife is a British citizen but she is not living in UK since last 20 years.

So we dont have any family members in UK.

We are planning to move to UK. For the spouse visa i need to show the appropriate accommodation details. How do i show that as my wife do not live in UK?

Do i have to show some evidence in form of letter from a friend? or do i have to rent a place before applying which sounds funny!!!

How can i fulfill the accomodation requirements? Can i show from my bank accounts that i have enough funds available to rent a house after we arrive in UK?

Please let me know.

You will need to show evidence that you have suitable accommodation available on arrival in the UK. If you are unable to rent in advance, this can be with friends or family as long as you can show that the accommodation is adequate (not overcrowded).
Regarding finance. You must be able to submit evidence that you will have a minimum of £102.95 remaining weekly after paying rent or mortgage, council tax and any loan repayments + £65 for each child in the family.
