my partner lives in Sharm el Shiek, and i live in england and have 2 children (not his)
we want to get married but can't work out what the easiest way to go about it to allow him to come to the uk to live with me.

I'm self employed, live in a council house (does that matter??)

HELP as we are so confused

Hi,

I have read the links given, and we still dont know if it would be better to marry in Cairo before he applys for a spouse visa, rather than marrying here and applying for a fiance visa as i get tax credits (and DLA for my son) this is the part we dont understand

Marrying outside the UK and subsequently applying for a spouse visa may be better than applying for a Fiance(e) visa, marrying in the UK and switching to FLR(M).

yes we have been advised to marry there, so this is what we plan to do once things settle down x
