Hi All

I have a question, is there any change to the immigration for family members in regards to the recent uprising in the Middle East?

My wife is in Syria, I have all the documents ready with the exception of the new English certificate, which she will do the exam in May.

Now, with the recent violence in Syria and other middle east countries, i am worried she will get caught up in the violence.

So is there any leniency for someone in my situation?

The only exceptions I've seen is allowing people to apply in different countries (e.g. when Egypt went the way it did - you could apply in a couple of other countries).

Other than that - the rules stand. If she's got an asylum claim - then that's something different.
