spouse visa

Post by sanjay1987 » Mon May 09, 2011 7:39 pm

I am a British citizen who is now married to a Grenedian and has currently been living in Grenada for the last 3 months and would like to apply for a spouse visa for my husband to return to the UK with me. We have been together for 2 years and 4 months and lived together for 1 year and 5 months both in the UK and Grenada. My husband did overstay his visiting visa due to him applying for asylum but they refused him and therefore was removed a year ago. I then moved to Grenada and we got married three months ago.
I was just wondering what requirements we may need as we both have savings therefore we will not be on public funds. But i seem to be confused after reading some of these posts on this board that if it is even possible for him to return to the UK due to his removal last year.
But if he can apply for a spouse visa, can i stay here and we apply from here as we would prefer that.
