Spouse Visa Query - Wife's WP extension rejected in 2010..

Post by srg123 » Tue Jun 14, 2011 2:23 pm

Hi - I first met my wife in UK in 2009 when she came to work for our company. She worked here for a year and in Aug 2010 her WP "extension" was rejected because of some typO with the Salary figure on the COS.(Because of sheer carelessness of our company HR). By the time she got her application back from home office, she had already overstayed by 5 weeks. SO she was asked by the home office to leave the country and reapply from India again. Well this was as of last year.
We got married last month and at the moment she is in India and we are in the process of applying for Spouse visa and I have a UK ILR.

I have a few queries. Looking fwd for your expert inputs ... Really apreciate ur help
1) Will my wife's WP extension rejection in the past pose any problems when we apply for Spouse visa. DO we need to mention abt this explicitly somewhre.
2) There is this section in the VAF4A application, Not sure whether to tick YES or NO .

"6.3 Have you ever been refused a visa for any country,
including the UK? Put a cross (x) in the relevant box

Please advise. Thanks in advance.

1. No. She should mention the Tier 2 application refusal under 6.7.
2. Section 6.3 is regarding "visa" applications made for travel to a country but submitted outside the country (e.g.- at overseas diplomatic posts).
Life isn't fair, but you can be!
