Hi all
What a wonderful website - keep it up!
My wife and son were denied a visa from Kenya on the basis that we have not proved our marriage is subsisting. Even though we provided western union receipts for every month of the 3 years, and phone records etc There were 3 areas of concern
1. The itemised phone bills were on standard paper - did not have company logo hence could have been created on a home pc
2. The bills only showed international phonecards being dialled hence does not prove we were talking to each other
3. Had not visited my wife or son for 3 years
I have already submitted the appeal, but wonder if others think it is enough
1. Got a letter from work stating phone is a company phone
2. Explained that as the only phone I possess (for 7 yrs) is my work phone I use international phone cards as can not abuse personl calls
3. Got email correspondence from works telephony helpdesk to O2 helpdesk asking for phone records with company logo, and subsequent response saying they are unable to provide them in any other format than what I was given
4. Asked international phone card company to provide itemised bill - but they would only do one phonecards worth
5. Detailed a chronology of events of the last 3 years, including buying a house, eliminating overdrafts, surviving redundancy threats, elderly mother having serious heart operations
The date stated on the notice of pending appeal letter for the Respondant to file their resons for refusal was today. I really expected the ECO to overturn the original decision but alas it does not appear to be the case as I have heard nothing and I have now waited 6 months. Can anyone tell me how long after the date stated on the letter did you wait until you got your hearing date
