Do I have time to apply for my wife's visa PLEASE HELP!

Post by Russ02 » Sun Feb 19, 2012 1:14 pm

Hello.

I am a UK national applying for a marriage visa for my non EU national wife.

She is currently residing in Ireland on a student visa which is due to run out on the 29th of Feb (yes I know im cutting it fine)

We are completing the online form today and have all the supporting doc's ready to send.

My question is this, once we have completed the online form, printed it and paid the fee is it considered that we have applied in time?

Or do the doc's have to be posted to the embassy in Dublin and received?

Also what about the biometric appointment? does this have to be booked and completed before the visa runs out on the 29th???

Or as long as weve submitted everything and paid can this be booked for after the visa expires?

I know its late in the day but my Wife's supporting evidence has taken longer than expected to reach us

Please help
