I am from New Zealand, currently living with my English partner in the UK and holding a working holiday maker visa.
My situation is as follows.
My partner and I met in NZ at New Year, 1 Jan 04. Things moved quickly and he moved in with me in February 2004.
He left NZ in March 04 - so we lived together 1 month.
I then moved to the UK on 2 October 2004, and moved back in with him and his mother after 7 months apart.
* For the time we lived together in NZ, we only have proof in the form of letters from friends and housemates.
* for the time we were apart, we have emails and letters sent between each other.
In the first three weeks of living in the UK, I had not opened a bank account, got a job etc, so did not have any bank statements or payslips in my name. After three weeks (dated 22 October 2004) I recieved my first official bank statement - obviously linking us to the same address.
To cover the first three weeks of my living in the UK, will it suffice to provide:
1) A letter of explanation from me that I had only arrived in the country, moved straight in with my partner and did not yet have a bank account
2) Have my partner say the same thing in his sponser letter
3) Have a letter from my partner's mother confirming that I was living there and contributed to rent and bills?
And all this bearing in mind that I also have limited proof about the period we were living together prior to me joining him in the UK.
I'm starting to get a bit paniced now, as my visa runs out soon - any help would be much much much appreciated!!!
