Australian PR

Hi Experts,

I hold an Australian PR (GSM175) issued in July 2009. My PR ends in July 2014. I am currently working in Middle East.

I want to know that at if i settle in Australia by end of 2013, as per my understanding i can still stay in Australia without any problem even if my PR expires and I am inside Australia. Only i cannot travel outside australia without having an RRV as this would not allow me to come back right?
