Naturalization fees via NCS

Post by afauk » Mon Apr 07, 2014 2:11 pm

Hi,

I have applied for Nationailty for me and my wife on 4th April 2014. However, the NCS lady mentioned she will send it as next day which will be delivered to HO by Saturday 5th April. But she did said that I have to pay the new fees which is £906 per person and will not get the discount of a couple applying together which was £1550 for two.

What i didnt get it is, as far as the HO has recieved the application before 6th April I should be paying the old fees.

Can someone please let me know what fees i will be charged by HO?

Many Thanks.

6th April is date on which new fees are charged right? Surely too you have paid upfront so if you haven't paid now you will certainly have to pay new fees.

Thanks Wanderer for a quick reply.

However, when they have recieved my applicaiton before 6th April then they should only charge me according to the existing fee structure rather than the new one.

Am i Wrong?

Ahh yes, I see.

Maybe Sat. isn't counted as a working day? I don't know! Wait for others I think, I'll shut up!

Generally, the date of application is the date + 1 day that HO receives the application.

You should have maybe applied at NCS on 3rd April to benefit from old fees. My advice would be to make sure you have the extra £262 to cover the 2 x £906 fee available in your account.
