Hi Everyone

Just to clarify for myself, wife and the stepdaughter how many rooms or bedrooms I need to have? Would a living room and a bedroom sufficient to satisfy the adequate accommodation visa rule?

Any help would be help.

Thanks

hi,
I wanted to apply for FLR(M) as my husband gets ILR on the basis of 10 years.

Q. I am on PBS dependant visa since 2006. 3 extensions 2 on student dependant and last on Post Study Work which starts 20th July 2012 to 20th July 2014.

Do i have to show 18,600 income as i am dependant since 2006 or not.
My last extension after 9th July 2012. Do i have to show 18,600 maintenance ??
Any work around as i dont have less cash savings and both have only 1 job which is around 12000 per year.

Thanks

You have to show the Financial Requirement (at least £18600) you can combine your spouse's earnings with yours.

Hello Amber,

appreciate the time you take to help people! Genuinely

My basic salary is 17,500 but I work in sales and my gross monthly income varies from £1580 -2100 (£1320-1800 take home) because of commission and bonus. I have paid 800 tax and 545 national insurance since November, is six months of earnings substantial enough or am I below the earnings threshold? I also rent from the council - rent £300 a month and council tax is £90

Thanks

Michael

thanks for your reply.

Q. If earnings and cash savings do not meet the requirement, what other option will be?
can i switch to any other visa from UK eg. student or any other? i m on dependant visa since 2006.

Q. If i get FLR(M) visa , can i apply if SET(M) after that, as i have passed more than 2 years on dependant.

As you have mentioned above that i have to show financial requirement, there is another question:

I applied PSW visa on April 2012 and then got 23-jul-2012 t0 23-jul-2014. so the rules will apply before 9th july 2012 as i have applied before that ??

Will that be the case?

I have tried but I cannot work it out : /

Is the maintenance strictly based on my salary which is set at 17,500 or my actual earnings?

We are on about adequate maintenance here! Do you have to meet a specific requirement? Without knowing your actual immigration issues I can't tell. I assume by you posting here it is adequate maintenance.

Hi,
Am I correct in assuming that children who are British citizens are exempt from financial requirements?
My wife and her daughter from previous marriage are applying for a spouse and dependent child visa.
We have two other children who are British citizens.
So my weekly calculations are as follows

£113.70 for couple
£17.45 family premium
£66.33, for each dependent child

NOT

£66.33 x 3, for each dependent child

Many thanks!

For adequate maintenance you must include all children, regardless of nationality.

Thank you Amber, even though it's not the answer I expected hear.

Could you help me with another question?

I own an apartment abroad where we are living at the moment. I am planning to let it once we've moved over to the UK.
Would a letter for a letting agent suggesting the running rent range would suffice or I physically need to let it first before I can use that evidence of funding?
Obviously, we would be staying in that apartment until we've moved over.

Many thanks!
Kostas
