UKNARIC letter and University English letter mandatory

Hi,

This may have been answered before but this KOLL is bit tricky for me

I have my appointment next week.
I have a my bachelors degree from India
My degree is shown in the points based system calculator and also had claimed points for English during my previous tier 1 applications.

So my question here is
1. Is UK naric English comparability letter required even when my degrees is shown is points based calculator ?
2. IS University letter stating that degrees is thought in English required

As i dont have both the above letters should i reschedule the appointment? or should my degree and points calculator statements be good enough please advice as i have appointment next week

If the degree is awarded 20 or more points for qualification and 10 points for English Skills, that will suffice B1 English in addition to LIUK, include a print out.

I'm also in a almost similar situation. I am on Tier 2 General(switched from Tier 2 ICT last year), while on points based calculator the only option it shows is to calculate points or English language(for which I get 10 points and have proved in my previous application(s)) but doesn't show or even ask for degree comparability points.
Please would you suggest if I need to get NARIC letter for comparability for degree for my ILR application.

The PBS calculator will show qualification points.

Hi,
PBS doesnt show the qualification points however the degree seems to appear and 10 Points has been awarded for English skills.I think this should be ok or do we have to get the letter from NARIC?
Note:I am currently on Tier 2 ICT.

Acc to this its mandatory for you to have
NARIC statement of comparability & Letter from uni statnig that the degree is taught in english.

Am from India as well..
This requirement is needed for both citizenship and ILR..

But we had been previously granted TIER 2 ICT and all extensions based on the Points from PBS and just showing our original degree certificate.
Qualification is awarded 30 Points if i select Tier 1(PBS) just to check.
Getting a letter from the University could be difficult as the engineering college i graduated from is no more part of the same University(Anna) and have now become deemed.Again i dont know if my college would issue the letter as the degree certificate is from the University.
Any suggestions please.

Even I was granted 30 points for qualifications..but the rules have changed after 28th Oct 2013..if u prove once of ILR.. u dont need to for ccitizenship

Please provide me this letter as it is getting very important these days in different organizations to prove that the degree I got from Anna University is taught in English for Visa formalities.

Presently I couldn’t come to Anna University, Chennai as I am based in UK. So here by I request you to provide this letter to my cousin Mr. **********. He is based in Chennai and works for **********. I am giving him photocopies of my engineering degree certificate and Consolidated Statement of Marks.
Please consider these as proof and provide him with the letter stating that my Mechanical Engineering is taught in English.

If your qualification meets the English language requirement, choose Select and then Next to continue.
If your qualification does not meet the English language requirement, you will not be able to select it.

so if we are able to select our qualification,then its understood that we have met the language requirement.
Are there any people who has got successful ILR under Tier 2ICT by using PBS?

Hi,
Because there was no point awarded for Qualification,we would need to get a letter from NARIC for statement of Comparability.NARIC has confirmed that Bachelor of Engineering degree is equivalent to Bachelor of Honors in UK.I have applied through fast track as i have an appointment next week.For english language assessment,PBS print out should be fine.

Interestingly i got a reply from Home office today and they have attached a document to verify the KOL requirement.
In order to prove using PBS,you would need to select Tier 1 General Migrant and check if your degree has been awarded points.
30 points for a bachelor degree from Anna university and 10 points for English.

7. How do I show that I have points for my degree and points for English?
If you want to use the calculator to show that you meet the KOLL requirement, you should access the calculator as a Tier 1 (General) migrant. If your qualification compares to a UK degree it will be awarded at least 20 points, and 10 additional points if it was taught in English,

Hope this answers all the confusions which Tier 2 Migrant had regarding KOL.

I just checked on PBS calculator for my degree through Tier 1 General, it does appear on the calculator but sadly doesn’t award any points for me . Last year when I switched from Tier 2 ICT to Tier 2 General the pbs calculator did award points to me for my qualification but not awarding now. I hold a Bachelors pass degree from Delhi University. Please someone suggest what I should do in this case. I’m so close to ILR and now this hitch. Will getting NARIC comparability change anything? Has anyone been in a similar situation where PBS calcultor doesn't award points but NARIC confirms comparability. Please help me
