Questions about Naturalisation Form

Post by divisionbell » Fri May 09, 2014 3:36 pm

Hi,
Posting here as I tried posting in the thread of questions related to filling Naturalisation form but have not got any response. And I need to apply for naturalisation next week, so woukd appreciate your help in answering my questions:
Hi,
I have a few questions about submitting my citizenship application:
1. Q1.17: while stating my addresses for 5 years, I remembered that while moving from one apartment to another in 2010, I had vacated my previous apartment, and went abroad for ten days for holidays. I moved to the new apartment after coming back to UK. In this case, do I need to leave gap of ten days which I spent with my family abroad and mention dates of leaving previous apartment and occupying new apartment accurately? And mention the address abroad where I lived for these ten days? Or I should not mention this gap and just mention new and old apartment addresses?

Secondly in 2012, I moved apartment again. Vacated previous apartment and went holidaying staying in hotels for next three weeks in UK, and then moved into new apartment. Should I state the correct dates against leaving prev apartment and moving into new one which will have a gap of three weeks? Or should I not mention this gap and just mention the new and okd apartment addresses?

2. Q1.22: for english language requirement, which box should I tick? My degree from Pakistan was recognised by pbs calculator which means it is recognised by Naric. Also when I came to UK on hsmp in 2008, I had taken IELTS test at that time. I plan to submit that expired IELTS certificate, alongwith with my degree certificate and printout of pbs calculator. Do you think this evidence is good enough for meeting english language requirement? I ll submit life in uk tret result too as evidence for life in uk. Can u confirm if I shud tick the first or the second box in this question. These are the options:

1. I have a speaking and listening qualification in English at b1 cefr or higher, or an equivalent level qualification

2. I have obtained an academic qualification deemed by uk naric to meet thr recognised wtandard of a bachelor s or master s degree or phd in the UK and:
i- uk naric has confirmed that the qualification was taught in english; or
ii- the qualification was taught in the uk or majority english speaking country

Thanks

Hi
Just for the benefit of other members, I'll answer these questions myself as I submitted my citizenship application through NCS yesterday:
Regarding question about addresses, the NCS officer confirmed that it would be ok if I just mention the exact dates when I moved from one address to another. There is no need to mention the reason about gap of a few days. However, for the sake of completion, I did mention the reason of these gaps on page15.

Regarding question about english language, NCS officer said expired IELTS letter would be fine. That means I need to tick the first option in answer to that question. I did take my degree certificate as well pbs printout which showed NARIC accepted my university and gave me ten points on my ILR appocation, however the NCS officer told me expired IELTS would be just fine. So they didnt take my degree or pbs printout.
Cheers

they don't have time to check your gap of 10 days. You can give previous address that's fine ....

how they can check ?? from your credit report or electrol (if you registered) other wise they can't check where u lived.

if in those 10 days if you changed the address it appears on Credit file - then if u hide that can be a problem.

but if you haven't changed I don't think so they can find it and neither they are interested know each and every day where u spent .. that's my opinion
