Hi Ajitajitamar wrote:My family applied for OCI at hci London on 07/05 yet no updates on printing status . We have to travel to India on 04/07 and I probably have to apply for a visa.
Should I choose to apply for tourist visa? How long will it take to obtain one?
What should I enter under Previous Visa/Currently valid Visa Details ? I have been to India many times on my Indian passport, and obviously did not require any visa, but unable to finish the form with out selecting a date.
I have only been to India during last 10 years, will this be classed as visiting as I was a citizen of India at that time, Should I leave this blank?
Has any one faced the same problems? Please guide me...
Many thanks
Ajit

Kash46 wrote:Help Required!!.... I made an OCI application whilst out in India that has been granted in MHA Delhi but I am unable to collect as I am based in the UK.
I have email, wrote and faxed asking the MHA in Delhi to send OCI card to UK for collection but I have had no response. Any ideas what I can do short of going out to Delhi to collect?
I think it will be really close. Now a days its taking 7 weeks for the application to be processed and then another week to send your passport and get the OCI stamped. The application made on 10th might just be ok. But the applications made on 20th will be very doubtful (as it takes 2 weeks to ack and count 7-8 weeks from the ack date) .mollsm wrote:Submitted my OCI app in person ack on 10 June and my parents via post (ack 20 June) all showing "Under Process!.. should I worry?
