Hi,

My husband was granted spouse visa after the 9th July 2012 rule. He was granted in December 2012 and ends in Feb 2015...He however have stayed out of the UK for over 7 months already. The question is what rule does he fall under? Does he have to apply for another visa to cover the 24 months period before he can apply for ILR or the longer staying period rule apply?

He needs 5 years for ILR, when did he enter the UK?
