Tier-1 Visa Extension

Hi Forum Members,

I am an Indian national currently with 2 dependants in UK.

My visa details

Tier-1 General visa approved in July-2010.
1st time arrival in UK - 20th Feb 2011
1st visa extension valid until 8th Nov 2015

I will be eligible for ILR by the end of Jan 2016. Considering the closure of Tier-1 visa extenions by Apr-2015, definitely I need to go for 2nd visa extension before that to cover 4 months period for ILR.

My questions are

1. I can apply for visa extension at any time from now until Apr-2015 and extension will be granted for another 3 years. Is that correct?

2. At the moment, I am thinking of just securing the extension for myself, and then apply for the dependant visa extension later on this year from India. Will it be Okay to go for this route?
Do you foresee any issues with this?

1. Yes, that is correct. I applied in Glasgow PEO for my 2nd extension last Tuesday and got 3 years.

2. Applying from India would not be considered an extension, but a fresh application, which means your dependents ILR clock will be reset.

Dear Members,

Two more questions, just wondering if you can help me with these

1. I've booked a PEO appointment for next week. Whilst filling the application form, the very first section ask about the payment details. Since I've already paid for the application fee online whilst booking the PEO appointment, do I need to fill in payment method details again? Bit confusing.

2. In dependant application form, there is a question "when did you move to this address?". I can't remember the exact date when my partner joined me. Shall I go with my best guess?

Please advise.
