uk citizen wishing to marry a nepali...advise needed

Hi, im new to this so any help or direction to get help would be great. Im a british nurse and my boyfriend is a nepali Dr. We are looking into how we can get married, i have tried getting info about legalities and guidance and dont know where to start!!!
He is in the process of going through the USA medical training programme and I am going to go and work out there to be with him... Do we and can we marry here?? or can we marry in the states. I know marrying in nepal would not be legal in this country, that will be the cultural ceremony after.

What is his visa status? Student, visiotor, work permit etc?, You would need a certificate from home office to give you permission to get married in this country depending on his visa status.

He has been in on a tourist visa so far. Hes back and forth to the usa as hes about to start an internship there. Should we be stating on the vsia forms were in a relationship?? and his reason for visiting is to see me?

If i go and work as a nurse in the usa i will get a green card quite quickly, and we were thinking of getting married in the usa might be the easier option althou sadly with out either sets of friends and family.

im worried what actions to take incase it jeopardises his visa application. but want to do the best for plans to marry.

Well unfortunately it would be highly unlikely that you would get COA ( certificate of Approval) from Home office if he is on Tourist visa, He would need to apply for spouse visa from his home country.

Does he have US green card/Citizenship?, Well you mentioned about getting green card is very easy? I dont know how true that is. But if he does have Green card etc you can apply for his dependent after you get married there.

hes on a working permit doing a 3 year post grad medical dr masters. when we apply for a british visa for him, should we be telling them were in a relationship, will this affect the chance of him getting a visa???

at present usa are desperate for nurses and they are offerng a greencard within 3 months if you go and work so when i go over i will apply for 1.

we will hopefully come back and live here after hes done his masters, but dont know what we will have to do to get him in..

Unfortunately home office dont care about love etc, Your best shot is to get married in either Nepal or USA.
