Employer's Stamp in the EEA1 and EEA2 forms

Post by saraiha » Mon Sep 10, 2007 9:08 am

Hi Everyone,

I am an Italian citizen married to a Mexican citizen. We both recently applied for a residence card. My problem (actually I don't even know if it's a problem, that's why I am writing) is that in the employment section an official stamp is required but they don't have it where I work. I asked my boss to write a letter that confirms my full time emplyment and specifies that we don't have a stamp and I also asked him to put again his signature in the Employer's Stamp box. Do you think this might be sufficient for the Immigration Office? Has anyone else experienced my same situation?
Thank you in advance for your help,

Sara

If they do not have a stamp, it is not your fault. Let the HO contact your employers or check your NI contributions to see if you are genuinely employed.
