Plus you have to pay £500 NHS charge if not visa will get rejected

Yh i read that aswell so sad that is so basically anyone applying for a visa after 6 april will need to pay £956 +£500 = £1456 and then u can apply for the visa

Hey I read this too but it doesn't say anything about settlement visas right ? Or am I being blind ? And how are we calculating £500 ? It's says £200 or £150 ? So confused

An appeal is always a choice.
lol :) I know it is but I'm saying I had no choice because this is my 3rd application and every time I apply I try to tackle the reason for pervious application, my visa gets rejected on different grounds.
Really! When did you get married? What have been the reasons for refusal each time?

Must be tough, how often do you go Pakistan?

I just read the link and the NHS charges apply to students/visitors and migrants, members of the EEA. Pakistan isn't part of the EEA and it doesn't really say if that includes spouse/ settlement visas?!

Read it again.

The charges apply to non-EEA migrants coming to the UK for longer than 6 months with the exception of Tier 2 ICT.

EEA nationals do not pay the surcharge.

Visitors don't have to pay the surcharge but will be invoiced at 150% for NHS services and should consider getting travel health insurance.

As far as I can see, spouses need to pay up until they have ILR.

I read the " press release" didn't exactly say that on there,
What a joke they're making money of non EEA ppl to basically pay for all the EEA ppl lol
But this only applies to people who apply after April 6 right?

That's a longgg time! What were the reasons for each refusal? Did you hire a solicitor or did you prepare all the paperwork yourself?

EEA is give and take. 750000 Brits in Spain alone are also enjoying that.

It says that the surcharge is payable when you apply for entry clearance or to extend your stay. So if somebody is in the UK under a spouse visa now, I would expect them to have to pay when they apply for further leave to remain after 2.5 years.

Noooo .... Its £200 per year so 2.5 years is £500 and then again after 2.5 yrs when u extend the spouse visa is £500 plus visa fees and then again at the last stage
