Reference by Retired Proffesional

Post by RR17 » Tue Apr 14, 2015 6:31 pm

Hi Guys,

Just a Quick Advice Please.

AN Guide " The other referee must be the holder of a British citizen passport and either a
professional person or over the age of 25."

From above Quote I believe, Reference by British Retired Professional should be Acceptable.

I was wondering If I can put one of my British reference from Retired Mechanical Engineer?

Please Advice .

Professional = someone practising a profession.
Retired = having left one's job and ceased to work.

For that sense alone I'd not use a retired person. Click here as well, where someone had confirmed it few years ago.
Being British is a state of mind.

Cheers fwd079,

I still think British Reference can be any one over 25 as per AN guide , Im choosing British Retired person, but he was Engineer.
And Other Referee should be in Profession but not required to be citizen...Should be Alryt..

Yes, if your other referee has a professional standing then you can use the retired British national as the referee who is over 25 and British.
