Al though I was in the employment since 2009 and recently received a good pay rise, this is shown in the payslips. I hope everything goes well, it's just something unfortunate and it happened at the wrong time.
I hate the fact of being the one who is having to advise you on this but it's best to be prepared just in case things don't work out.. are you in employment right now?? If so I would suggest collating evidence from new employer just to be safe so you can resubmit worst case scenario though with all my heart I sincerely do pray that it goes in your favour .

I have a quick question in regards to employment. I got married on 1st April but submitted my papers on 24th April 2015. At which point I was employed and earning over 18K. However on 1st of May I got made redundant with immediate effect, will this effect my wife's visa? Bearing in mind I was in employment up to the point of my application and I have provided all the evidence of my employment including a employers letter. Any help will be appreciated. Many Thanks
I've never come across anyone who's received a visa whilst being made redundant/swapping jobs/leaving employment during a visa application.

The internet is flooded with peoples stories of getting refused for these reasons.

i just have a quick question. i shall be applying for visa for my wife under the final exemption as i am in receipt of disability living allowance. i would like to know how many bank statements in need to send, also do they have to be no more then 28 days old?

are online statements accepted?
can i submit statements which are printed and stamped by the bank?

may allah reward you for your efforts
ameen
If you are applying under exemption of income threshold you need to submit one bank statement showing the benefit being paid into the account from within 12 months prior to date of application.

Online statement will not be accepted so best way forward is to go to the bank and ask them to print a copy and stamp and sign the copy also... it would be best also to ask a manager to type a letter to say that the copy is genuine.

I would also advise writing it in your cover letter explaining you get paperless statements.

As I have applied under the same rules I can advise you further.
What i also suggest is make sure you get a cover letter prepared from a solicitor who will outline the rules and quote each rules and evidence you are submitting to meet that rule.

This would make it easier for the eco to take into consideration all the evidence and also make it harder to reject under law.

The solicitor would charge roughly around 50 quid dependent on who you go to.

I'm here to help if you need further advice
Online statements which you can print at home are excepted. Just make sure you get it either stamped by the bank or a cover letter from the bank stating it's a genuine statement. You don't need both, but either way it's fine. There should be no need to write a cover letter explaining why you're submitting an e-statement. Also no need to pay a solicitor ££ for a letter which you can very easily do yourself.

I just copy and pasted a couple of points (titles only) from the Financial Requirements pdf and Appendix FM-SE and a link to both .pdf files.

Points I coupled were 3.6. Meeting the financial requirement through “adequate maintenance” and section 12. of Immigration Rules: Appendix FM-SE. That's it, nothing else.

If you ring the central tax office and give your
Ni number they will send u current details of
Employment this is what uk ba use it lists your work place
Earnings etc
If however you are unemployed since applying
It could get tricky my best advise would be to withdraw
Application and then apply again

Salaam guys, my wife got a call to pick her passport today and unfortunately it was a rejection. The reason was very vague ...refused under paragraph EC-P 1.1(D) OF APPENDIX FM OF THE IMMIGRATION RULES (E-ECP 3.1) Im going to have a thorough look at this but I applied Cat D with savings alone and thought I had covered every inch in terms of providing evidence.

They refused you under financial but did they state what were the reasons??
If you applied under cat d savings there may be something the eco may have missed or not taken into account
Were savings sources declared (money received from if there were large deposits)??
Been held for 6 months minimum

Thanks for your reply Saj.
There isn't much detail the refusal letter states, "In view of the fact that you have not provided specified evidence for the specified periods as stated in the appendix fm-se of immigration rules, I am not satisfied that u have met the financia reqmt.
I therefore refuse ur application on under paragraph EC-P 1.1(d) of AppendixFM of the immigration rules (E-ECP 3.1)."

I included six months bank stmts and declared the source of savings so I'm at a loss to explain why it was rejected. TherE isn't a specific reason given as to why it was rejected.

Does anyone know how much an appeal costs and how long it will take?

Appeals cost £80 for paper hearing and £140 oral hearing first tier tribunal

Your looking at a turnround of roughly 6 months but an administrative review takes place about 2 months roughly where the decision maker manager will look at evidence that was available at the period of application and see if the decision can be overturned which then they will withdraw the appeal

They would normally call the applicant anytime before midday and if you have paid an additional fee for sms service then you would get a text before the call.

No they would not tell you the outcome of the application. Upon receipt of the file will the applicant know the outcome
