Hi, does anyone know what the other methods of applying for a spouse visa are?
I've heard if someone has £30k of savings untouched for 6 months that they can apply?
If so does anyone have the specifics of that? Will Home Office assume that money will be to support your spouse?

What else would you have to submit? Doubt they'd need payslips, employment letter etc.

Lastly do the UKVI have any grounds to reject this type of application if the money is untouched for the time frame (6 months?).

If u want to apply with just cash u need £62,000 in your bank for a minimum of 6 months untouched

U would just need to explain where this money came from and provide some kind of proof e.g letter from source, bank statements showing transfer

I had £30,000 as my wage is £13,000 so i had to make up the £5600 shortfall

The first £16,000 of savings is not considered

So mine was £5600 x 2.5 (that is the length of spouse visa)= £14,000 + £16,000 = £30,000

Thanks, will a gift from parents be sufficient?
If it was untouched and other aspects i.e. House report etc. are ok then do they have any grounds to fail it on?

I'm querying for a friend who got rejected recently.

gift from parents is fine, aslong as they provide a signed letter and maybe their bank statements showing the money going in to the other bank account it should be okay

And everything else would be exactly how it is.. Apart from employer letter, payslips and bank statements

Surprised to see no update today!!!! why the hell are they taking their time on June Applications!!!!!!!!!!

FYI:
a friend of mine had his visa refused he submitted 5th June 2015(this is news of last Friday). His refusal was they rejected his payslips as false information because there was a difference in one of the months between what was deposited into his bank and payslip.

Also could not find the English test result on the system and therefore did not accept the certificate provided.

Submitted appeal in October, deadline was March 9. On March 7th we received a hearing for May 21st.

Went to the hearing and around 2 weeks later got determination letter, appeal allowed.

A week after that we got another letter, home office applied to appeal to the upper tribunal.

This week we got a letter saying their application was refused.

Anybody know how long the wait can be now for them to call my wife to submit her passport?
Applied in Islamabad: 03/07/12
Refused: 14/11/12
Appealed: 26/11/12
Court Date: 02/09/2013

Re-applied in Islamabad: 20/01/2014
Refused: 15/09/14
Court Date: 09/05/2015
Appeal allowed.
Awaiting call letter.

Yes I was surprised it was in May, first first appeal the date was 6 months away.

I really really want to believe that they will call her that quickly but after all this heartache and stress I don't want to get my hopes up.

You know people who won appeal or home office withdrew and they got call letter in 2 weeks?

Solicitor has advised you incorrectly. All they need to take in Pakistan is their passport and the confirmation email when you submit the application. You just need your partners signature.

Submit after biometrics
Timeline:

App Mirpur (Biometrics): 29-05-15
App received Islamabad: 2-6-15
Email ISLAMVisaInfo (Application Processed): 18-08-15
Email ISLAMVisaInfo (IHS Refund/Refusal): 19-08-15
