Seperated and want to apply for citizenship

I am married to a British citizen but we have been separated over a year now,I want to apply without using her passport,how do I go about it and I have been resident in the uk over 5years now. I also have driving offence but was not convicted only fixed penalty fine and points on my license 3 of which expired this November .PLEASE I NEED ADVICE

If you have ILR (or PR) and have held it for 12 months you are good to go.
(Assuming all other requirements can be/have been met including KOLL, sound mind, good character, references, any absences from UK within limits, proof of physical presence in UK 5 years ago & etc).
