Advice on spousal visa renewal please?

Post by soushinnokoe » Wed Jan 06, 2016 8:16 pm

Hi,

My husband has his spousal visa granted in 2013, when I solely made the £18,600 criteria.

We need to re-apply for his 2nd 2.5year visa.. and I've had a baby since then so work Part time. I'm sure I read somewhere before that we combined, need to meet the £18,600 this time, jointly.

I'm confused as to how to extend, or do I do the FLR(M) form again for this? Or is there another form to fill out?

Also, we had a daughter of 14 months, and on the form (FLR) M form. It says list dependants who are applying, and who are also dependants who are britush.

We have one child who was born here and I and her are british.

So do we have to pay for the sole applicatant fee of £649 to re-apply (as it's just for him, which I'm assuming this is correct) and on the forms do we need to meet the £18,600 or because we now have a child the £22,000 one.

I'm almost certain when we had the first 2.5yr granted, (30months) to re-apply we were advised we just had to meet the same as we first applied.

We are due to start sorting this out to apply in late Feb or March, as his expires in May. So any advice would be massively appreciated.

2 of his friends who have scarse work, or studying, have had visa's granted on the basis they have a british child, b have no idea how to check this option, or if that may be an easier way to do it.

Any advice will be massively appreciated!
Elizabeth
