FLRM health care surcharge

Post by fantasist » Fri Jan 15, 2016 1:06 pm

Hi there, I'm new to the board and I have a question regarding health care surcharge for FLRM.

I have an ILR through 10 year long residence and I am now helping my wife to do her first FLRM.

She paid a surcharge of £600 online then we realised she picked the wrong category, my question is can we still use the IHS code? I understand that if she chose the right category, she would've charged £500.

Cheers,

Michael

As this is a relatively new system which is proving to have a fair number of 'teething problems', I doubt that anyone will be able to tell you for sure. I would use the IHS number you've been issued with and then hopefully you will be refunded the overpayment.

It may be worth mentioning the error in your wife's visa application where I believe you are able to mention any additional information.
