Entrepreneur Extension (50K) - Accountant's letter

Post by raj.m » Mon Feb 29, 2016 7:25 pm

Hi everyone

So I went to see my accountant today to discuss the letter about job creation. He is an FCCA. I told him that it is home office's requirement for him to put his registration / permission to operate in the UK in the letter. He said we have got a company logo on our letters and it has a company registration number, so there is no need to put down his personal registration number in the letter. What is your take on this? Which registration number does he need to put down in the letter exactly?

Thanks
Raj

Yes He has to sign and provide mandatory information including his permission to work in a professional capacity i.e. Affiliation and Registration as appropriate.

See Policy Guidance "The accountant must be a member of a recognised UK supervisory body (see glossary); if not, we will not accept this evidence"

If it is a registered firm and that logo has got the registration number then it should be fine.

Adding to the question,

In case, If I change my accountant during 3 years, then will I need letters from both the accountants confirming the investment or the letter from the accountant who did my last accounts will be enough.
So verily, with every difficulty, there is relief.

Please note that according to Immigration rules Appendix A, the accountant's letter is required to show the net increase of at least two full time jobs in a business if you took over or joined an existing business. There is also no requirement for an accountant to give you letter confirming the investment, only the accounts compilation report is required when submitting unaudited accounts. It is up to you to send accountant's letter if the above conditions do not apply to you.
