Visitor Visa for parents

Hi,

My parents are planning to visit me in June 2016. Can we apply for Visitor visa for both of them in March 2016, but still have the visa validity from June 2016?

I'm going through fertility treatment and need my parents to support me here during this course. Can I apply for 1 or 2 years visa for them. Do I need to furnish any documents to get this processed.

You can ask for the visa start date to be referred for up to 3 months. If this is your parents' first visitor visa, they will be extremely unlikely to be granted anything more than 6 months.

Unlikely to be granted 1 or 2 year visa validity if it's their first one. Also remember all visas have a vadility period, six months being the shortest, this doesn't mean they can stay of six months. 2/3 week a couple for times over the six months. There's no 'helping-out visa'
