You probably need to clarify this with UKNARIC. As per my understanding, SSC is not equivalent to British GCSE; HSSC is. This notion is based on the fact that I arrived to UK from Pakistan and had my Pakistani qualification evaluated. It is irrelevant as cannot be used to meet the English language requirement.
