Applying for British passport and sending previous passport

I am also applying Brithish passport and confused a bit about sending previous passports so can someone please answer my query.
1. Do we only need to send existing (foreign) valid passport OR Do we also need to send previous (expired) passports as well that has the entry clearance sticker on it.

Send all passports that are not cancelled - that includes sending any expired passports.

You do not need to submit cancelled passports evidencing your previous immigration status; they are of no use to the Passport Office.
