Post by SKumarK » Wed May 11, 2016 9:01 pm

Hello All,

Me and my wife are UK ILR holder for last one year( since April 2015).

Now I am planning to apply for settlement visa for my baby born in India on February, 2016.Wife and baby currently in India

Request those members who have gone through similar situation recently and experts on this forum to help me with the forms and list of documents required.

Below are the forms and documents which I am planning to provide for applying for ILR visa for my baby currently in India.

Forms
1. Apply under ‘ Family of a settled person’ visa if your family member or partner is either a British citizen or from outside the European Economic Area (EEA) and settled in the UK.
Family Settlement Application Form (VAF4A)
https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/s ... /VAF4A.pdf

https://visas-immigration.service.gov.uk/visa-type

2. Appendix -Financial Requirement Form https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/s ... endix2.pdf

3. Sponsorship Undertaking Form
https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/s ... p-form.pdf

Documents
1. Applicant (baby) Passport (original and one photocopy)
2. Mother Passport and Residence Permit (photocopy)
3. Father who is the sponsor's passport, and Residence Permit (photocopy)
4. Marriage Certificate (original and one photocopy)
5. Birth Certificate (original and one photocopy)
6. TB health form from an approved clinic in India ( original and one photocopy)
7. Sponsorship letter and cover letter from the sponsor (original and one photocopy)
8. Sponsorship Undertaking Form SU07/12(original and one photocopy)
9. Council tax receipt and Rental agreement (photocopy)
10. Joint account Utility Bill (as additional proof of cohabitance- don’t think it is necessary, still keeping)
11. Bank Statement, Salary Slips last 6 months and recent P60 (original and one photocopy)

Fees
1. Joining your partner or parent £1,195
2. Healthcare Surcharge £200

Finally fill the application online and wife (& baby) can take a print out of forms and above documents to vfs centre on appointment date

Questions
1. Could somebody confirm if the form I am using is the correct one?
2. Do I need to keep any other documents/Proofs/Forms??
3. Any new changes applicable since April,2016?

Many thanks in advance.
SKumar

Please continue in your existing thread, where I have already asked a question for clarity and you have not yet responded. Please don't post your question onto other members topics, it is unfair and creates confusion.

This has no relevance to the other member's thread you've high jacked. Please post this in your own thread.

Please don't send me PMs asking for immigration advice on posts that are on the open forum. If I haven't responded there, it's because I don't have the answer. I'm a moderator, not a legal professional.

Thanks Secret.Simon.

So the correct application form is https://www.visa4uk.fco.gov.uk/User/Home# and not the one mentioned in my above post.

I hope this will be of help to others who are in same position

We cannot access your link as we don't all have UKVI accounts in our names.

VAF4A is the correct form for your child - child settlement visa.
