Its not between YOU and HMRC, if it was the case then there would not have been so many refusals from Home Office on tax affairs. Home Office expect you to pay tax on declared earnings to HMRC at the time. It is not a credible explanation that you have made profit from earnings and cannot afford to pay tax or why you did not pay tax at the time.jan39 wrote: was told tax payment is not required by HO as it's something between you and HMRC.
I agree with your first logical argument that they expect you to pay but it's not required, as the references you provided say the same thing:monty87 wrote:Its not between YOU and HMRC, if it was the case then there would not have been so many refusals from Home Office on tax affairs. (j) (iv) Verification of previous earnings claims with declarations made in respect of the applicant to other Government Departments, including declarations made in respect of earnings claimed by the applicant in previous applications.
Paragraph 19 (f)(iii) a document produced by a person, business, or company as an official return to a tax authority, showing details of earnings on which tax has been paid or will be paid in a tax year, and which has been approved, registered, or stamped by the tax authority.
Ok, but the nature of question was different, I hope you could answer it.CR001 wrote:It is not necessary to start a new topic with each question you have on the same application.

Just tried again and realised the fault, not sure but looks like it's the website fault. When I login, the search box disappears and I can't see the search box on any page till I am login, when I log out the search box becomes available on top of the page, tried different browser but same problem.noajthan wrote:There is a search option. I see it at top of almost every
page.
What's the reason for it? Search option should be available to anyone regardless new member or old. Very strange, search option is for finding more info easily.CR001 wrote:Some or most of the newly registered members don't seem to have the search option.
Home Office don't have access to amended returns data and HMRC don't update out of date tax returns online apart from tax overview that also shows any interests/penalties paid as a result of any amendments.jan39 wrote:I have amended tax return, sa302 not updated as HMRC says it cannot be updated any more for previous years, the sa302 is still showing old figures but the online tax year overview show the new figures of tax only.
My question is what figures HO get from HMRC in case of any verification, the old ones or new ones after amendment?
Just confused to submit sa302 or tax year overview with application. As I know both are acceptable? But in case of verification they get figures of sa302 only from HMRC?
