Acceptance of IELTS taken more than 2 years ago for ILR

Post by arts99 » Thu Aug 11, 2016 1:49 pm

Will be grateful if you anyone can please share their knowledge.

For settlement visa applications UKVI has the following rule with regards to English exams that have expired:

Applying to settle in the UK
You can use a B1 level qualification that’s run out if both of the following are true:
• it’s on the current list of recognised tests
• it was accepted for another UK immigration application, eg when you got permission to enter

If someone passed the IELTS exam at a centre more than 2 years ago and that was accepted for a Tier 2 General application before then would that be accepted for ILR application now?

The reason for clarification is that SELT concept was introduced a couple of years ago and there would be many candidates who have passed IELTS at centres which are SELT centres currently but at the time the candidate took the test they may have not been for example for people who took the test in 2011/2012 etc.

Anyone whose ILR application was rejected for IELTS taken at a non SELT centre at the time of the test?

Thank you
