Applied for my wife on 26/08/2016 at New Delhi VFS but still awaiting a result.
Called the £1.37 hotline today and was advised that the application is 'under process which has been updated from 'awaiting assessment by ECO' since Friday.
Does anyone know what the typical processing time is for the application once an ECO gets hold of the file? Surely there can't be much to review in the file??
I am a UK citizen by birth and meet the financial threshold comfortably. The only thing is really worrying me is - I did not submit original bank statements but all my payslips were originals from payroll. I work for a FTSE 100 company so should that not negate the need for bank statements due to traceable payroll slips?
My wife was working for Tata Chemicals in a mid management role but I didn't bother to include any of her payslips of employment information - have I made a mistake here??
We have been in a long distance relationship for nearly 7 years so really anxious to be together now.
