danna wrote:Hi,
I am applying for my visit visa to UK.
During my last visit to the UK a few years ago- I used NHS for a surgery due to which I have some unpaid NHS debts. I believe a letter stating the amount I should pay was sent to the address I was staying in.
My question :
1) How do I know how much money I have to pay to NHS to get my dues cleared
2) If I pay now the NHS costs just a few weeks before applying for a visit visa - would my visa be even then rejectd as I have read in the guidance notes that all NHS dues need to be cleared 6 months before applying for a visa.
3 ) Have there been any known cases where visit visas rejected due to unpaid NHS debts.
4) How likely are the NHS debts checked by UKBA when applying for a visa(since I am a returning visitor).
5) If I don't mention anything about the surgery - I assume it would be some sort of visa ban if my records were cross checked with NHS?
6 ) If I mention I used NHS during my last visit -would it be a refusal as I shouldn't be using NHS on a visit visa..health tourist etc?
Thanks
1) Contact NHS; concerned regional health authority.danna wrote:Hi,
