Tier 2 General Visa Extension Delivery

Hello,

I applied for extending my Tier 2 General visa. I have completed the biometrics enrollment (taking a photo and finger prints) and received a letter with my old permit and passport. How do I receive my new permit once it is ready? I have seen in some topics here that some people missed their deliveries. How do they inform me when the delivery will be? I will be away for a week, so I don't want to miss my delivery (I need to get my permit as soon as possible). Any advice or experience regarding this is much appreciated.

Delivered by DX Courier. If they miss you, they leave a card and you have to re-arrange or arrange to collect.

But for the initial delivery, do they come without notifying me?
