Hello everyone,
Really hoping that someone could help with my question/situation. Really really need your assistance and help.
My question relates to my mother's date of birth (DOB). When I applied for my student visa in 2010, I entered what I knew at the time had always been my mother's DOB. Her DOB on my student visa application form is what I grew up knowing to be her DOB. My father and all my siblings too have always known the same. Prior to knowing her correct and recorded DOB, my mother always used the birth date we always knew was her DOB on all her documents like voter's registration, and even her old senor citizen ID which she had long surrendered for a new one containing her correct and recorded DOB. My mother never saw or held a copy of her birth certificate before. In 2013, both my parents had looked at applying for their passport for the very first time. It was during this time and in the preparation of the documents required for passport application that my youngest brother who was at the time helping my parents prepare their requirements for passport application found out that my mother’s correct and recorded date of birth at the Civil Registrar Office was a different date of birth from what we have always known. When a birth certificate used for passport application was then requested, it contained her DOB which is now on her first passport. Her first passport was issued in 2014, with naturally her DOB different from what I entered on the student visa application form back in 2010.
And now I have already submitted my spouse visa online application form (application from outside of the UK) but is yet to attend my appointment and submit my supporting docs. In the section asking for mother's DOB, I entered her DOB that is in her passport. Would this difference/discrepancy in the DOB of my mother in my 2010 student visa application affect my spouse visa application now? I am thinking of adding an explanation to this difference on the additional information section but still unsure how this difference in the DOB affects my spouse visa application. What would you advise I do? I would greatly appreciate your advise.
Thank you,
