Proof of accomodation = no rent agreement

Post by Kaysie » Mon Nov 27, 2017 5:16 pm

Hi All,

Im due for my renewal FLR M in January.
So, I've come here for help.

Initially, when I moved here in 2015. My patner was leaving in a rented accomodation. But the landlord need his place and gave us 28 days notice

Private renting in london is too high so he decided we go the homeless route and they gave us an 2 bed flat still temporary since march 2016.

We are a family of 4.
my husband is british
our two kids are british

We've been paying our rents.
He stopped working last year because childcare of our kids became too much, so he stays at home and take care of them while I work. I earn away about the £18600.
He's also claiming univer credit (I'm on the application for universal credit becuase we are a couple and we live togther but we don't get the couple allowance as I'm not eligbile to claim public funds. He gets around £495 a month i.e. universal credit cap it should £1780 for him and the kids but I'm working so the benefit is relatively low)

I want to find out.
Do we have to provide proof of accomodation?
we have so many bills and letters in both our names including council tax.
The initial rent agreement that was given to us in 2016 was for 6 months and we've missed placed it.
Can we submit our application without proof of accomodation like rent agreement? will council tax in both our names suffice?

Thanks
