FLR 5 year route to ILR (SETM) - Few Questions before application

Post by Bigfoot1 » Wed Feb 07, 2018 9:10 am

Hi

I would really appreciate any advice/answers that anyone could provide. Every visa application has been so stressful and I cannot wait for the day we no longer need to fear not being able to be together in the UK.

1) Qualifying Period to reach 5 years.
First Visa valid from 16-04-2013 to 16-10-2015
Second Visa valid from 01-10-2015 to 16-04-2018

From the dates above I have worked out that my wife can apply for her ILR at the earliest date of 19th March 2018 (28 days before her 5 years).
Is that correct?

2) Finances
On her last FLR(M) application we just used her salary to meet the financial requirement. I assume that is fine in the ILR application as well?

3) Maintenance
I am assuming we don't need to complete this if we meet the financial requirement?

4) Documents (section 12 on application)
It states "Specified evidence of meeting the relevant financial requirement and evidence of your finances including: Bank statements, building society savings books, pay slips or other formal documents as evidence of your and, if you are applying as a partner, your partner’s ability to maintain and accommodate yourselves and any dependants without recourse to public funds."

Do I need to include my financial information as mentioned above even if we are not relying on my salary? The underlined bit seems to imply I do.

5) Relationship
Do we need to include letters from ourselves & friends & family regarding the validity of our relationship? (We did this for both FLR applications)
Do we need to include photos of us and travel booking etc?

Our final challenge is to try and get a Premium service appointment!

Thanks

On what date did she ENTER the UK on her spouse visa?
2) Finances
On her last FLR(M) application we just used her salary to meet the financial requirement. I assume that is fine in the ILR application as well?
Fine, yes.
3) Maintenance
I am assuming we don't need to complete this if we meet the financial requirement?
No maintenance requirement.

Evidence proving you meet the financial requirements, either spouse.
5) Relationship
Do we need to include letters from ourselves & friends & family regarding the validity of our relationship? (We did this for both FLR applications)
Do we need to include photos of us and travel booking etc?
No and No. You need to provide evidence of cohabitation and subsisting marriage for the 2 years preceding the date of application.
Our final challenge is to try and get a Premium service appointment!
When you can apply depends on the answer to my first question above. You should be aware that March is difficult to get in person appointments due to the rush of applicants booking slots before the fee increase on 6th April.

Thanks CR001 for the replies

She was in the UK on 16-4-2013 as she transferred from a Tier 2 Visa.

So i think that means the dates I worked out are correct?

Thanks

She can then apply any time within 28 days before 16th April.
