subsisting relationship proof confusion

Post by Komaluroosa » Wed Feb 21, 2018 3:57 pm

hi everyone!
My husband is a British citizen and i'm going to apply for spouse settlement visa for the uk in a month but there are little confusions that i want to clear. :(

we have 1.5 years of conversation record via WhatsApp and i had taken the screenshots of our daily conversation but there is a lot of material about 1000 pages of text messages only, and i obviously i have to attach the photos and video chat record too. however, there is a lot of material and i'm afraid if i'll send all the material to home office they could reject the visa with a reason; material is too much. so kindly suggest me how many and what type of screenshots do i need to attach for the proof of Subsisting relationship? and how many of the total pages (including photos, video chat, text messages, wedding pics, call record etc) i must have to send for the 1.5 year of relationship proof to the home office? :(

secondly, i have heard that a lot of people attach a police clearance certificate for the proof that their crime record is clear. i don't have any criminal record so still i have to attach that certificate with the application? :| if someone has attached the police clearance certificate with the application so kindly guide me..
thank you! :)

Few Screenshot of whatsApp chat every 1-2 months. Same with photos no more than 20 pics together at different times.

They dont want to know about every single message you have sent each other about how much you hate each other :0). All they care is that your relationship continued, so proof of any money sent, gifts etc.

Your marriage certificate is the biggest proof of relationship and also any visits made is good too.

Police clearance is not required. InshaAllah you get entry clearance soon.

thanks for your reply Londoner007.
have u applied for the same category and granted the visa? :? if yes, how many of the total pages u had attach with the application?
1-2 screenshots of every month and 20 pics in total are too less if i have 1.5 year of weeding/relationship! isn't it?

It all depends on individual case - if you have had less visits then you need to show more chat etc to show how you communicated whilst apart. If you had many visits then you dont need to show as much call logs etc because a physical visits adds a lot of weight. You need to look at what are the strong points in your case and what is weak points.

You have not provided any details of your relationship / marriages dates, visits etc so it is impossible to ask anyone how many pages to include, only you yourself will need to be judge of that.

You need to be more specific or provide more details if you would like an input.

All the best InshaAllah.

criminal conviction evidence

Post by Komaluroosa » Thu Feb 22, 2018 7:25 pm

hi everyone! :) :)
i'm going to apply for the UK spouse visa. I have read in( https://www.gov.uk/uk-family-visa/provide-information )this link that a person has to provide information regarding criminal conviction for spouse settlement visa. Fortunately, i don't have any criminal conviction, so do i need to send the police clearance certificate with other evidences to the home office? :|

If you are applying for spouce visa from inside the uk then u dont need any letter or evidence as long as you dont have any criminality. Just declaring it on the form is enough. But if its from outside the uk you might need a police clearence letter from your concerned country. I needed it when i applied for student visa in 2009 to come to the UK. And i beleive same applies to the spouce visa too.

It's not specified. So, I'm guessing it's your choice.

Yes. They prefer original documents.

But with digital cameras and photo editing software these days, not sure how much weight they will be given.

Sorry for disturbing you but just one clue please! i have heard that home office may change the criteria in couple of months, they might change life skills A1 to B1, is it so? 🤔

Nothing has been annnounced of such a change. Unless you see it on HO website, don't believe everything you 'hear'.

B1 is for ILR and citizenship.
