Confused: Fianancials - First Time Applicant ILR 5 Year Route

Post by femismyth » Mon Apr 09, 2018 8:01 pm

Hi,

I'm applying for ILR for the first time, through the 5 year route, and I'm a bit confused at the financials part. My spouse/sponsor has is a salaried earner (earns greater than 25k a year), but I'm on a student visa, and I work part-time (20 hours a week).

While filling Part 7.3A: Income from Salaried Employment, do I need to put in details of my own job as I only work part-time and earn only about 8k a year anyways - and moreso we are depending on my spouses salary to fulfill the financial part anyway. Kindly help!

If you are on a student visa, how do you qualify for ILR??

What form are you referring to??

Maybe I worded it wrong. I'm currently on a student visa seeking to change to a Leave to Remain visa for the first time? Am I in the wrong section?

So applying for a spouse visa on form FLR(M) correct??

You don't need to use your income if your spouse meets the requirement.

Yes, that's correct.
