Parent of Tier 4 (Child) Student

Post by unvoyage » Mon Apr 30, 2018 5:39 am

I consider to apply for Parent of Tier 4 (Child) Student visa when my 8-year old child applies for her Tier 4 Child Student visa.

According to the UK government website, the Parent cannot switch into a different immigration category from a ‘Parent of a Tier 4 child visa’ when it expires. If my spouse enters into the UK later with either Tier 2 ICT or Tier 2G, can my child and I switch into Tier 2 visa as dependents?

Thank you.

Clearly no.

Paragraph 319C(h)(i)(c) of the Immigration Rules confirms that:
an applicant who is applying for leave to remain must not have last been granted entry clearance or leave as a parent of a Tier 4 (child) student
