Yes, you can. The date does not matter. I think I applied around 10th of the month and claimed employment of that whole month. Run your payroll, submit the FPS to HMRC and so you can include those documents. I read in some other thread that, you can't claim hours if you are applying before the pay date.
For example, if someone wants to apply on Jan 26 and an it's also pay day for the company as it's last Friday of the month. We still can claim hours for Jan?
