From the AN Guide:
If you require your valuable documents to be returned by secure post you must
enclose a pre-paid self-addressed Royal Mail Special Delivery (or Recorded Signed
For delivery) envelope with your application. The pre-paid self-addressed envelope
must be sufficient to accommodate the size and weight of your documents and be
insured to the appropriate level for the value of your documents. If this is not
enclosed your documents will be returned to you using Royal Mail 2nd class post.

Though I would recommend NCS service, as they take certified copies of your valuable documents. Worth the extra charge.

I think its a waste of money and time now. The file has moved a few places and I dont think anyone will care to trace your file to add the envelope to the folder. But its worth a try as you could lose valuable documents. BTW 2nd class mail does not mean they treat it like garbage. Only its not delivered later than 1st class. Unless your post box is insecure you should not worry about it much (like a community drop insided the front door of the building)

There is a possibility they will accept your explanation of forgotten if you reveal it now. After the decision is made it will be difficult to change. I recommend you write them and inform them about the lapse. After 3 years a non custodial sentence is ignored so it wont affect the decision but lying (by not mentioning) will.

Some one advice me: My personal opinion is that you write a letter, mentioning the caution. Start with apology, Explain that you forgot the caution as it was a long way back and you had no intention of hiding any fact. You could fill out the AN page 16 and explain on page 22 and in your letter request the blank page be replaced by the one you are sending.

You could write a letter to the Liverpool office, quoting the reference number(s) and send by Special Delivery to get a signature on receipt. Keep a copy.

Hi everyone,

Just received my approval letter. I read online that the biometrics card has to be returned within 5 days after the ceremony. Is the biometrics card the PR card?

Thank you

@Samr33
Assuming you mean the blue PR paper card then no need to return - but keep with all your important papers, just in case.

Something is wrong. When you receive confirmation, they system also generates a biometric invitiation letter. It should have come to your in 2/3 days (2nd class mail).
Email them.

Hi Senior Members,

Just wondering are there any cases reported on this forum where the Passport Fee was deducted [when they used Online or NCS plus JCAP) service but the Naturalisation Application was refused and money was refunded.

Thanks

I have the same question too as I found out Passport fees got deducted 4 days ago. My understanding is that once your naturalisation app is approved, they should be passing it over to the passport office to process the application. Unless this is not the case then would be wondering why would they deduct the fees pre--hand before deciding the application?

Any guru's here to answer this query?

Hi
The reason i am asking is same and also i read the receipt given to me from council for JCAP application and it says

" Following a successful Citizenship application your passport application and payment will be sent to HM Passport office. Payments will be processed within 5-14 days of receipt. HM Passport will not refund the fee if your passport application is unsuccessful or withdrawn."

This is the exact wording.

Any senior members can guide on this please.
