Visa will be issued based on CAS dates. If that shows a 9 month course, it will be course + 2 months. See the Tier 4 Policy Guidance, from paragraph 245.Thinker1 wrote: ↑Mon May 14, 2018 12:28 pmThe course says it is for 9 months starting (22-Aug-2018) but being a Teaching course it will follow all the school holidays. This makes me think the course will run upto to Middle of June 2019. If I apply from India in June 2018, How long will the visa be? (1 year i.e. June 2018 to June 2019)?
He does not appear to be eligible to apply as your dependant. See https://www.ukcisa.org.uk/Information-- ... Dependants
The only restrictions on the work a PBS dependant can do are laid out in the Immigration Rules, paragraph 319D(b)(iii)-(v).Thinker1 wrote: ↑Wed May 30, 2018 3:15 pmAs I understand the course needs to be 12 months or more. If that is the case and I get my Husband on a dependent visa, how many hours per week can he work? What I have read is I can work 20 hours per week on a student visa. Does the same restrictions apply to my husband or will he be allowed to work 40 hours per week?
The sponsor assesses your English language ability, not the UKVI.Thinker1 wrote: ↑Sun Jun 17, 2018 9:40 pmAlso I'd like to know about the IELTS requirements. The University has offered me an unconditional offer for a post graduate degree course. They waived off the IELTS requirements due to my graduation and post graduate diploma from India. Is there any chance that my visa be questioned by UKVI if they dont see any IELTS certificate with visa application? Or do UKVI honour the University decision to waive off IELTS?
