Hello guys!

I would like to know if your family permits process are also delayed... I've been told that it would take 15 days, however:

- the form was filled April 24th
- Biometrics April 27th
- Email from visa info (received) May 3rd
...

today is May 25th...
and that's it! Nothing more? should I call them?

Hello, I got the same problem!

They should give back to me last Wednesday (completing 15 working days). I called on Thursday, they follow up the team to make a decision. I called on Friday, they informed that the decision was made. However so far no contact.
I’m very worried because, besides they are not following the deadlines, I do need my passport back.

Please, how was everything for you? Did you get their response already?
Have you applied from SP, RJ or Brasilia?

Tks!!! :)

Hello! Nothing so far :(

I found this page with deadlines: https://visa-processingtimes.homeoffice ... brazil/all

So if after 30 days (which will be in June 14th) they don't answer me, I will call them.

And I applied from SP... what about you?

cheers!

I called them today morning again... and they said that they’re delivering my passport back to Brazil. (I didn’t even know that my passport was sent to UK, I thought that just the decision was made there).

However, they’re so delayed!

I’m from SP but I applied from RJ.
Could you keep me posted, and I do the same with you?

Have you tryed to call the UK Visa in UK already?

Hi,

Thank you for shearing. I am in a very similar situation with my partner. I am from Spain and he is from Colombia. I just moved to UK for a job opportunity and we are going to submit his visa application for EEA Family Permit as non-married partner.

My question is, which supporting documents did you send? We have 3 years contracts of living together (but I moved to Europe after 2 years and 7months for work), we also have some correspondence for both of us arriving to that address, flight tickets more than 3 per year of traveling together, plenty of photos, and also we have a cat together. By the way, we were living in The Philippines as we both were working for the same company there.

The problem is that it is been 5 months without seen each other, and I am afraid this could affect. I came back to Spain looking for a job and as I did not find what I was looking for I started to search in the rest of Europe. In the end I found it in UK. We speak daily since I left, we have the record of all our whatsapp calls.

Please let me know which supporting document you included to see if I am missing something.

Thanks in advance.

Hi guys,

I have been reading this forum avidly over the past few months and wanted to give you an insight to my timeline of rejection and eventual acceptance and help answer any questions if I can.

For reference I am the EEA Family member and my partner (non-married but living together for three years) is an EU Citizen.

I firstly applied in February and was rejected with documents and passport returned inside 18 business days. I forgot to include his passport - silly me. We reapplied and I paid the priority fee. I was promised a decision would be made within 5 business days. This was not the case, however.

Here is the timeline:

24/03/2018 Application received by decision making centre
27/03/2018 biometrics
28/03/2018 Confirmation of supporting documents received email.
08/04/2018 called UK Immigration paid service call centre - was told no decision had been made and to wait longer despite paying priority fee.
10/04/2018 received all my documents back via mail except for my current passport and older passports and had been told these were sent off to a processing centre.
16/04/2017 called UK Immigration paid service call centre - was told there was no decision made, and to call back that Wednesday if I had heard nothing via email.
18/04/2018 called UK Immigration paid service call centre - was finally allowed to escalate my case.
25/04/2018 received an email from UK immigration saying a decision had been made on 18 April 2018. No other information. Information of refusal or acceptance not available online.
26/04/2018 passport arrived with EEA Family Member Visa acceptance. 🍾❤️🎉

From our initial application in February through to today it took approximately 2.5 months. Definitely not the 15 business days we were told. However, we are ecstatic! I have been missing my partner like crazy and we finally get to be reunited!!! Can’t wait :)!!!

Will definitely be back on here to get advice about the next steps for the 5 year visa once I’m in the UK next week. For now, I can finally sleep again. This insomnia and deep dread/worry has been all consuming.

Hello Everyone.
My Name is I'd like to know if being deported from the UK can be an hindrance when applying for entry clearance permit?

I recently submitted vaf5 application...
I'm just awaiting decision and Return Of my passport.. Any tips or advice...
And yes I submitted the requirements

Marriage certificate Authenticated with apostile stamp.
Wife's passport
My passport
My Bank statement
Wife's residence permit
And ticket booking...
This should be sufficient according to the directives but the ukvi has been known to be a bit crafty #hostileenviroment..

Hi Guys,

I am Portuguese National. & My wife is Indian..
I have applied 4 times and I have been refused EEA 4 times

The 4 refusals were between 2016 Nov and Feb 2017.
After the 4 refusals I haven't applied and now I am planning to apply and I have been working for last 1 year.

What I would like to know is :
1. Can I apply directly and without a agent involved?
2. Could somebody help me in advising what should be contents of letter to be written along with the application.

Thanks & regards
Glen.

Hey Glen,
You’re an EEA national and hence do not need an FP.
If your Indian wife is not in the UK and wants to join you in UK, then she needs to apply for an EEA FP from where she is.

Hello Alihamza,

My wife submitted the biometrics from Cameroon on March 29. Still waiting for the decision. Very long and frustrating.

Cheers
Cyndicate tks.
Is it better to apply directly on your own or use an agent?
