lost passport with schengen visa vignette

Hi There

I got schengen visa in my passport done at London. I traveled in europe and unfortunately lost my passport with schengen vignette. I got my new passport issued and have traveled to Delhi, India.

I want to get schengen vignette in my new passport asap. Does anyone have experience / advice on how to do it?

Do I have to apply for a new Schengen altogether!? That's quite unfair if that were to be the case.

Is there no provision of consulate transferring my existing and active Schengen visa to my new passport!?

You do not have an existing, active Schengen visa.
You lost your passport. The passport and everything in it is now invalid.

My understanding is, my Schengen is neither lost or expired, it needs to be transferred to my new passport.

And where did you get that understanding?
A tourist visa is a ticket. It is not a right.
If you lose your visa, you got none.

Yeah and it's associated with my name, DoB etc. Only passport is lost, the new passport is linked with the previous one also.

Visa was given to me, same individual, Passport is a tool, one is lost, a new one has replaced it.

You should go and read what a passport is, how do visas work, that there is no "linking" etc.
