I recently applied for EEA family permit from Nepal and it got refused after 12 working days.Reason of refusal was that I was unable to prove my mother ( Portugese Citizen) as an EEA national. However, my mother had sent her original documents directly to Sheffield and my supporting documents were scanned in VFS.
I am thinking of reapplying now. Does anyone know what supporting documents of my mother and I has to get scanned at VFS to minimize the chance of refusal? (PS: I am under 21 of age i.e. 18 years old)
It will be greatly appreciated if someone can help me with what documents I need scan at VFS.
Thanks,
Rohan
Home office here in uk are the worse ever.
My first refusal was due to a home office fault where they thought that my brother and myself are the same person. Then my second one they refused claiming that they is no evidences that my mother is really my mother and I have to provide DNA TEST .
So from my experience I think you should provide a certificate of birth from your country with all the IDs from there you’re and your mother ones. Abd then photos of her with you since you were a kid . And as well if it’s posible and to avoid rejection DNA TEST confirming that that person is your mother. The rest would be her payslips a bank statements.
So did you provide DNA test? Also, I live in Nepal and my mother is in UK. So, is there anyway that I can do a DNA test? If yes, do you know how much it gonna cost?
I didn’t, as I decided to appeal. On the hearing the judge was insisting in the DNA test but I gave my cosrcimstance and I stocked to that the certificate of birth (mine) was a Spanish and European one and uk should considere it as a British one.
In your case I think that is better to provide it. And your mother can do it from here there is some big labo that certify the relationship even if the third party is in other country.
So you have two options. First to appeal and try your chance and it will take more than a year and half. And the second one will be to provide all the evidences and get it in Max 3 months.
